Post Refractive Surgery

There are different refractive surgery techniques. LASIK (an acronym of Las-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis) is one of the most used techniques for correcting ametropia with laser. Your safety and reproducibility is very high, but not all patients achieve the desired vision, and not infrequently recover in time from initial myopia. (Read more ).

Therefore, both when the surgery has not the refractive results expected, or has suffer a regression to the previous refractive problem, is necessary to apply a technique that restores clear vision to the people who had surgery on yours eyes for not wearing glasses.

In this case we have developed a lens created to fit the cornea that results after a refractive surgery. This lens will gently mold the wrong shape into a new correct one and will provide good vision during the day without glasses or contact lenses.

DRL reshaping lenses are designed to induce a corneal correction only by night use.

These lenses are valid for all types of refractive surgery except radial keratotomy. In that case you must use the lenses during the day for stable vision through them.

The DRL ortho-k lenses could be used for a daytime use, for a normal viewing, in the case of persons who had subsequently develop corneal ectasia after refractive surgery, who have visual distortion, halos or unstable vision could use DRL lenses during the day to see clear all the day again.
